In his essay “Politics and the English Language,” George Orwell explored the ways in which the debasement of our language leads to the debasement of our society. When language is unnecessarily vague or meaningless, it is because it is intended to hide the truth rather than express it, “to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." The work Maca has chosen is meaningful to her because she tries her best to tell the truth through it. First, pick good clients: organizations that have something real to say, and companies with products and services that add real value to people’s lives. That's crucial. But then, through graphic and narrative tools, they tell their story in a distinct and tangible way. Maca seeks to stand in opposition to marketing schemes that act as agents of jargon-laden homogenization.
